Taylorsville Man Arrested After Court Appearance

Michael Jovi Simmons, age 36 of Taylorsville, was placed in custody after making an Alexander County District Court appearance on Friday, August 18th. Alexander County Deputies placed him in the Detention Center for felony probation violation and possession of a weapon by a felon.

Simmons is awaiting trial on number of additional charges that include felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony probation violation out of county and a series of traffic related offenses that include driving while license revoked.

As of earlier today Simmons is no longer listed as an inmate.
