Suspect In Wilkes County Shooting Turns Himself In

A man suspected in the Friday, May 8 shootings at a gym in North Wilkesboro is now in custody. Shortly before noon on Wednesday, Isaiah Kwasean Graham, age 21 of North Wilkesboro, turned himself in at the Wilkes County Jail.

Graham has been charged with:

Assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting serious injury with the intent to kill
Going armed and causing terror to the public
Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Discharging a firearm in the city limits

Graham is being held in the Wilkes County Jail without bond. He’s expected to make an appearance in Wilkes County Court on Thursday.

Two men remain hospitalized at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem following the shootings in the parking lot of the Muzz’s Gym on Elkin Highway. One of the shooting victims remains in critical condition while the other is in stable condition at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

North Wilkesboro Police have offered no details about a possible motive for the shootings.
