Stony Point Man Taken Into Custody Again

A Stony Point Man is in custody after missing court dates. On Tuesday, Carl Steven Combs, age 61, was served warrants for harboring a fugitive and obstructing justice. The original charges date back to January. As of earlier today, Combs remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with bond listed at $7,000. An August 26th court date is scheduled.

Combs has previous charges pending in Alexander County that include felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Those charges are scheduled for Alexander County Superior Court on September 16th.
