The North Carolina Highway Patrol arrested 30-year old Paul Dwayne Cook of Stony Point on Wednesday and charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon and driving while impaired. Cook was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $25,000. He is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday, December 14th in Taylorsville.
