Stony Point Home Destroyed By Fire

April 1, 2019 By Richard C. Gilbert

A Mobile home was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon in Eastern Alexander County.

Stony Point, Hiddenite, and Taylorsville Departments responded to 204 Donavan Lane in Stony Point. The structure was engulfed in flames when the first units arrived. The property was a rental unit. A man, woman, and a child less than two-years-old lived at the residence but they were not home at the time of the fire.

Alexander County Fire Marshall Russell Greene said Sunday “The fire is suspicious and remains under investigation.” The Red Cross is assisting the occupants of the home.
