Statesville Man Facing More Than Thirty Charges

A Statesville man wanted in Gaston County on more than two dozen charges has been arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Deputies.

45-year old Boris Dewan Cunningham was taken into custody after trying to flee officer from his residence on West Front Street. Cunningham was in possession of fentanyl, MDMA, and methamphetamine when taken into custody. A search warrant for the residence was secured and a search revealed fentanyl, MDMA, methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. The suspect faces 33 felony drug charges, including eight counts of trafficking in opium, and three misdemeanor drug charges.

Cunningham was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a combined secured bond of 2.55 million.
