St Stephens Drops The Cougars To Win Tournament Title

St Stephens defeated Alexander Central 8-1 Thursday evening to win the annual Catawba Valley Easter Baseball Classic.

The Indians took advantage of some costly Alexander Central errors leading to 4 unearned runs. The Cougars who had won the first two games of the tournament by a combined score of 20-0, managed only 3 hits. Peyton Young pitched six innings allowing only 1 run on 1 hit and 8 strike outs for the win.

Alexander Central 1 run-3 hits- 2 errors

St Stephens is now 16-4 on the season. Alexander Central drops to 17-3.
