Alexander County has recorded seven COVID-19 associated deaths since last Thursday.
According to the latest figures from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the death count stands at 38. A total of 3,058 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
19 people are in a hospital with COVID-19 associated symptoms.
