34 new cases of COVID-19 were counted on Friday in Alexander County according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. 1,974 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic. The death toll remains at 19 with COVID-19 associated symptoms.
