Reward Increased To $10,000 In Search For Taylorsville Couple

February 9, 2021 By Richard C. Gilbert

Tangela and Eric Parker

United States Marshals are upping the reward in the search for a Taylorsville couple accused of a deadly shooting last month in Hickory.

Federal Marshals are searching for 41-year old Tangela Parker and Eric Parker, age 61, who are considered fugitives after she fatally shot one of her co-workers last month at a Hickory furniture plant. The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. on January 13th at TCS Design on 9th Avenue Northeast.

The investigation indicates that Tangela Parker shot and killed her coworker, 51-year-old Phelifia Marlow. The two women had been in a dispute over a period of at least a week prior to the shooting that was witnessed by a number of employees of the company.

The couple was last seen leaving the business in a beige 2019 Honda CRV displaying North Carolina tag FAM5669. They should be considered armed and dangerous.
