A body found in the backyard of a Conover home last month has been identified as a missing 54-year-old man.
Conover Police say the remains are of Richard Lee Morris of Conover. The body was found in a shallow grave at a residence on Fourth Avenue Southwest on September 16th.
A final autopsy is pending that investigators hope will reveal the cause of death.
Morris was reported missing on August 26th, 2021.
