Effective immediately and due to circumstances beyond our control, Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Blue Medicare Advantage can no longer be accepted for vaccines at the Alexander County Health Department.
Those with Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Blue Medicare Advantage can still be seen at Alexander County Health Department for other services; however, they will need to go to a pharmacy for their vaccinations. We are sorry for any inconvenience and we hope that, by sharing this information, those who have this coverage are able to begin receiving their vaccinations at a pharmacy of their choice without delay.
