Newton Man Charged With Child-Sex Crimes

A Newton man was arrested on Sunday and charged with felony child-sex related crimes.

44-year old Robert Laury Fulton was taken into custody by Newton Police and charged with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child 15 or younger and two counts of indecent liberties with a child. He’s being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $120,000. Fulton is scheduled for an initial court appearance today.
