Newton Man Arrested For Drugs And Stolen Auto

Hickory Police arrested 42-year old Douglas Ray Brewer of Newton Sunday morning on a series of felony and misdemeanor offenses.

Brewer was charged with felony possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a stolen automobile. Brewer was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center with a $25,000 secured bond. The initial court date is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th.
