Forty new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday in Alexander County according to the latest figures from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. 1853 total cases have now been confirmed.
18 Alexander County citizens have died with Coronavirus associated symptoms in the county since the beginning of the Pandemic. 25 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
The county remains in the state’s “red” tier for “critical community spread.”
Due to the Governor’s recent Executive Order and to help control the spread of the virus, masks are now required to enter county buildings. Employees will also wear masks when interacting with coworkers or citizens.
