BETHLEHEM (January 25, 2022) — A new convenience store and gas station is open in Bethlehem. On February 3rd, a ribbon cutting is planned at 10:00 a.m.
Located at 9505 NC Highway 127 in the Bethlehem Village Shopping Center, the new Cubbard Express convenience store offers something for everyone, including Exxon gasoline, Dunkin’ Donuts, Little Caesars Express Pizza, and assorted items.
Bethlehem’s newest development is owned and operated by Bumgarner Oil Company, which was founded in 1954 by Glenn Bumgarner who built the foundation of the business upon loyalty and care for the community. This family-oriented company has continued to grow and expand over the years, and continue to branch into the food-service industry in Alexander County.
Bumgarner Oil is known as Hickory’s #1 oil company, but they also own and operate 12 Cubbard Express stores throughout the area including two locations in Alexander County (Bethlehem and Hiddenite). Customers can enjoy everything from coffee and gas to lottery tickets and candy, in addition to the food-to-go options. Each of their stores is designed for your convenience, so you can grab what you need and get back on the road in no time.
The folks at Bumgarner Oil love pizza almost as much as they love being Hickory’s #1 oil company. In 2019, they purchased a Little Caesars Express franchise, which gives Bumgarner Oil another opportunity to work in and serve the community.
Bumgarner Oil has also partnered with local Dunkin’ Donuts Franchisee HARA Food Service Group at this location. Donuts and hot coffee will help start your day off right. Plus, they have a convenient drive-thru window.
Make plans to attend on Wednesday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m., at 9505 NC Hwy. 127 in Bethlehem for the grand opening and ribbon cutting.
