Morganton Man Listed As Missing

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Missing Endangered Alert. Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for 48-year-old Richard Wayne Presnell, who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

Mr. Presnell is a white male. He is 5’10” and weighs 230 pounds. He has short white hair and hazel eyes. Mr. Presnell wears glasses and has a scar on his head above his left ear. He was last seen wearing a Walmart uniform, which is a blue shirt with the Walmart logo, navy khaki pants, and boots.

Mr. Presnell went missing from the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1001 North Green Street in Morganton. His direction of travel is unknown. He is said to like the mountains and the water and could possibly be near either.

His vehicle is a burgundy 2018 Subaru Forester with North Carolina license tag number JMJ8014. It has a 1995 Freedom High School tassel on the mirror.
