John Noah Mast
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year old John Noah Mast and charged him with 35 counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor on Monday. Mast has now been charged with 30 additional counts.
Mast was charged initially after an Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (ICAC) tip indicating a person in Alexander County was uploading child pornography. Multiple search warrants were executed based on the tip.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Homeland Security also assisted the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
With the additional charges, bond for Mast has been increased from $500,000 to $1,250,000. He remains in the Alexander County Detention Center.
