There will be baseball in Alexander County this summer !
The Appalachian Moonshiners will open their season as a member of the Old North State League. The team will call Taylorsville home and will host games at Alexander Central High School’s Bob Gryder Stadium.
A number of college players from Alexander County will be on the roster. The team is comprised of talent from the area and a number of states. The head coach and manager will be Alexander Central’s Pete Hardee.
An intra-squad scrimmage will be held Saturday at 6pm. The regular season will begin June 8th when the Moonshiners host the Lenoir Legends at 6pm.
