Mobile Home Destroyed By Fire Wednesday Morning In Eastern Alexander County

June 14, 2023 By Richard C. Gilbert

A mobile home residence was destroyed by fire Wednesday morning in Hiddenite.

Shortly after 8am, firefighters from Hiddenite, Taylorsville, Wittenburg and Stony Point responded to 100 Jeremy Walker Road. A man and woman who lived in the dwelling were able to escape.

Alexander County Fire Marshall Mark Earle says the fire appears to be accidental and suggests an electrical issue as the likely cause of the blaze.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.

Alexander County EMS and the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the fire.
