Merlefest To Require Proof Of Vaccination Or Negative COVID-19 Within 72 Hours

August 20, 2021 By Richard C. Gilbert

After having to cancel last year due to the pandemic, MerleFest is coming back to Wilkesboro. But, this year, there are some new requirements to attend.

At the entrance, you will be asked to show your vaccination card or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending.

Attendees will then be given a wristband identifying that you have met the safety criteria.
Masks will also be required indoors and MerleFest highly recommends that unvaccinated individuals wear their masks at all times.

“We are doing everything we can to provide a good, safe, family-friendly event and that is certainly our primary concern this year,” said Ted Hagaman, MerleFest director.

The festival takes place Sept. 16 – 19 in Wilkesboro.
