The body of a man has been found in a Wilkes County dumpster.
Wilkesboro Police responded on Thursday to the 400 block of South Cherry Street to check for the source of a bad smell. Officers found the body of Anthony Garret Absher, 31, inside of a construction dumpster. It’s unclear how Absher died.
The SBI is assisting in the investigation.
