A man died after a shooting incident Sunday evening in Hickory.
Reports indicate that Hickory Police Officers heard gunshots in the area of 3rd Avenue Southeast around 10:47 p.m. Officers responded and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the Sunny Valley Apartments.
The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Ontorio Nymier Metts of Hickory. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are searching for the person or persons who may have been involved.
