A man was shot and killed in what is being called an act of road-rage Friday afternoon in Boone.
Boone Police Department responded to the area of Blowing Rock Road for a reported shooting. Responding officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to Watauga Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
Officers said there was some sort of argument when shots were fired off highway 321 near a Bojangles Restaurant. They added someone in a car shot at a person in another car.
The name of the shooting victim has not been released.
