Man Killed After Being Struck By Truck In Iredell County Parking Lot

An Iredell County man was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer rig Friday night.

44-year old Jason W Bare of Harmony was struck in the parking lot of the Tyson Foods processing plant. The 911 call was received at 6:48 pm.

According the North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Landon Hammer, the driver of the truck was backing toward a loading dock. Both Bare and the driver were Tyson employees. Bare died at the scene.

Harmony and Sheffield-Calahaln Fire Departments, Iredell EMS and the North Iredell Rescue Squad all responded.
