A male subject jumped over the overpass at the intersection of US 64-90 and NC Highway 16 in Taylorsville Saturday morning shortly after 7am. A section of 64-90 was closed as Alexander EMS attended to the unidentified male.
Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman said Saturday “The investigation shows no indication other than the man parked his vehicle on the overpass and jumped.”
The man was airlifted to a regional medical facility and at last report was in critical condition.
