A lightning strike in Moravian Falls on Wednesday evening set a home located on Knollwood Drive ablaze.
The structure is said to be total loss according to the Wilkes County Fire Marshall’s Office. The male occupant of the home was trapped inside the flames until firefighters were able to free him. They have been taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem and reports indicate they’re in critical condition.
