Man Dies In Catawba County Fire

A fatal fire has been confirmed by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.

A man said to be in his 70’s was found in a home located on Banoak Road in Vale overnight. The structure was destroyed. The Catawba County Marshall’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

The victim has been identified as 73-year-old Ronnie Mosteller who lived alone in the mobile home.
