A man has been charged after a Tuesday shooting in Conover.
Conover Police arrested 18-year old Jaylon McCorkle of Newton with assault by pointing a gun and kidnapping. The charges are connected to an incident that resulted in a 20-year old man being shot. The victim was treated for a gunshot would and later released from Catawba Valley Medical Center. McCorkle is also charged with the kidnapping of a child. He has been released on bond. Police are also seeking the whereabouts of 30-year old Erica Bodrick of Conover. She has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and two counts of kidnapping.Update:
30-year old Erica Rasheena Bordick is now in custody. She was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Conover Police. She has been charged with twe-counts of first-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill/inflicting serious injury, and two-charges of assault by pointing a gun. She is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $135,000.
