Man Charged With Murder In Burke County

63-year-old George Lee Allison III of Morganton has been charged with murder. Allison was arrested by Burke Co. Sheriff’s Deputies on Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to a shooting at a residence on Skyland Drive at about 9:30 Sunday evening. 49-year-old Brandon Charles Adams had been shot to death with a shotgun blast.

Allison is being held in the Burke County Jail without bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled today in Morganton. The investigation is ongoing.
