Justin Dean Chapman
As reported on December 6th, 2021, Justin Dean Chapman was taken into custody and charged with indecent liberties with a child and statutory sex-offense with a child age 15 or younger. The investigation began by Investigators with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $100,000 and was later released.
Chapman now 37, has since been charged in Burke County with failing to notify law enforcement of an address change as a registered sex-offender. He was convicted in 2017 for sexual battery and given a 130 day active sentence and placed on the registry for 10 years.
On Tuesday, Chapman who lists an address of Advance, NC, was transported to the Alexander County Detention Center where he is being held under a secured bond of $125,000. A February 12th court date is scheduled in Alexander County Superior Court.
