A Hickory man is in custody after his arrest this morning. 35-year old Stephen Wayne Peyatt was charged by Hickory Police with assault on a female, injury to personal property and possession of methamphetamine. Peyatt is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $3,400.
