Hickory Police Officers arrested a Newton man this morning. 25-year old Antonio Terrell McClain is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell marijuana, discharging a firearm in the city, second-degree kidnapping, assault on a female, felony probation violation, and flee/elude arrest with a motor vehicle. Following his arrest, McClain was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $56,500. A court appearance is scheduled for today in Catawba County District Court.
