A significant amount of illegal drugs were been recovered and two suspected narcotics traffickers are in custody following overnight arrests by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Hubbard Road.
37-year-old Mai See Hang, of 9th Street SW Conover and Kandra Vang, age 49 of Chaucher LN, Granite Falls, were apprehended as the result of a traffic stop. Officers confiscated 201 grams of methamphetamine (one pound = 453 grams).

Both suspects are being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under secured bonds of $500,000 each. The suspects have initial court appearances scheduled for Monday, June 29th in Taylorsville.
