21-year old Jordan Martes Thompson of Maiden was arrested Tuesday morning by Newton Police Officers. He’s been charged with assault by pointing a gun. Thompson is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a bond set at $1,500. A court appearance is scheduled for today.
