The Lenoir Police Department is conducting an investigation into the discovery of a man’s body. The deceased was identified as 33-year-old Ervin Gene Bradshaw, Jr. of Lenoir. On Wednesday, February 7, just before 9:30 a.m., Lenoir Police Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive subject at the J.E. Broyhill Walking Park maintenance building on Lakewood Circle.
When officers arrived, they found Bradshaw near a park maintenance shed located on the backside of the property. Caldwell County Emergency Services responded and pronounced Bradshaw deceased at the scene. The Lenoir Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
A news release from the Lenoir Police Department says this incident poses no safety risk to anyone using the Broyhill Walking Park and the park has remained open to visitors. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
