59-year-old Peter Modiene Gabaree was arrested on Tuesday by Boone Police on charges of going armed to the terror of the public and resisting officers.
At around 1230 am on November 7, Watauga County 911 took a call regarding a man brandishing a firearm outside the Boone Saloon on West King Street in Boone. When Police arrived, they found a man wearing a tactical-style vest and carrying a shotgun. Officers gained control of the suspect and took him into custody.
An investigation revealed that Gabaree had earlier been in the establishment and was asked to leave.
Gabaree went to his vehicle, donned a tactical vest and retrieved a shotgun, a handgun, and ammunition for both weapons.
A passerby saw the subject and called 9-1-1.
Gabaree was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.
