Lenoir Man And Stony Point Woman Facing Felony Charges

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested a couple on Sunday and charged them in connection with a stolen vehicle.

37-year old Raymond Richard Rice of Lenoir is charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle had been reported as stolen in Caldwell County. Rice was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $8,500.

A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year old Chelsy Lynn Combs of Stony Point was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. She was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Combs is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $15,000.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Alexander County District Court on May 16th.
