Somebody had to lose, this time it was Alexander Central
East Forsyth won a Round IV showdown Friday night in Taylorsville and advanced to the West 4A Regionals.
Eagle pitcher Kierston Deal was as advertised holding the Lady Cougar to a run on only two hits. She also delivered the crucial blow at the plate in the 3rd inning with a 2-out, 2-run double. East would add another run in the inning.
ACHS managed their lone tally in the 4th.
Alexander Central finishes the season with a record of 25-3. East Forsyth will advance to the West Regional series against Marvin Ridge who defeated South Meck 10-0.
