Lady Cougar Softball Will Play For Title After Win Over Ashe County

Northwestern Conference Semi-Final at South Caldwell High School

Alexander Central 17 Ashe County 6

The Lady Cougars collected 17 hits enroute to the win on Thursday.

Ashe County led 4-0 after the top of inning one to see AC answer with 5 in the bottom of the first. Kensley Davis went 4-4 , homered twice and had 6 rbi. Mcartney Harrington had 3 runs batted in as did Laney Wike.

Alexander Central improves to 17-4 and will play South Caldwell for the conference tournament championship. The host Spartans beat Hibriten 11-1 in the other semi-final game.

The title game is tonight at 6:30 at South.
