Judge Gives Hiddenite Woman 90-Day Jail Term

Kala Kay Nicloe Rust, age 31 of Hiddenite, was given a 90-day jail sentence in Alexander County District Court on Tuesday.

Rust was arrested in May, 2021 by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies after she missed court dates on charges of misdemeanor child abuse, possession of schedule III controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. In October, Rust was charged by Taylorsville Police for felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
