I-77 Ramp To Close In Iredell County This Weekend

April 15, 2021 By Richard C. Gilbert

STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close one ramp on Interstate 77 in Iredell County over the weekend.

The East Broad Street exit (Exit 50) at the I-77 Northbound off-ramp will be closed at 8 p.m. Friday. The closure will allow contractors to remove hard rock that has been encountered along the ramp and install a new sewer line and drainage. The ramp is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.

Traffic on I-77 Northbound will continue to U.S. 21 (Exit 54), to I-77 Southbound to East Broad Street.

Motorists should exercise caution while using the detour and expect some delays.
