Hudson Man Charged With Shooting Girlfriend

Lenoir Police have charged a Hudson man after he allegedly shot his girlfiend on Sunday.

50-year old Timothy Eugene Craig is charged with shooting Chelli Renee Ledbetter, 53, with a handgun according to a press release. The two were said to arguing over some mutually owned property.

Ledbetter suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to a regional medical facility where at last report she was reported to be in stable condition.

The shooting took place at a location in Lenoir.

Craig is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is being held without bond in the Caldwell County Jail.
