Deputy Wilson noticed the driver was extremely nervous. Deputy C. Moncus arrived with Canine Bosco to assist with the traffic stop.
Canine Bosco alerted on the stop. Deputy Moncus searched the vehicle and located methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
32-year old Kala Kay Nicole Rust of Hiddenite was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Driving While License Revoked.
Rust was placed in jail under a secured bond of $18,500.
