Hiddenite Woman Busted By Iredell County Deputies

Iredell County Sheriff Sheriff Darren Campbell says that on Thursday, August 20, Deputy C. Wilson with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 64 near the Alexander County line. The driver was identified as Samantha Kim Triplett, 40, of Cooper Ridge LN., Hiddenite.

During the investigation, Deputy J. Greene and his K-9 partner, Elio, responded to assist. K-9 Elio was walked around the outside of the vehicle and alerted deputies to the presence of illegal drugs. Deputies then searched the vehicle and located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Triplett was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for a Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspect was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a secured bond of $25,000.

Triplett was also issued citations for Driving While License Revoked, Displaying a Revoked Registration Plate, and No Liability Insurance.
