Hiddenite Man Being Held Without Bond

Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested 48-year old Jeremy Lynn Benfield-Cooper on Thursday. He was charged with disorderly conduct on school property and trespass on railroad right-of-way. He has also been served with a felony parole warrant. Benfield-Cooper is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond.

In 2023, the subject was released from prison after serving 12.5 years for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.
