George Henry Overton, age 48 of Hiddenite, was arrested on Saturday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was served an arrest warrant from Catawba County for misdemeanor larceny. Overton was held in the Alexander County Detention Center until Monday when he was transferred to Catawba County. A July 3rd court date is scheduled in Newton.
