A Hickory woman is facing felony charges after her arrest on Sunday. 42-year old Michelle Leigh Morris was taken into custody by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon/inflicting serious injury, a failure to appear warrant for felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, and a failure to appear count for violation of habitual felon status. Morris is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000. A court date of June 7th is scheduled.
