Hickory Police are investigating a case in which someone reportedly claimed to be a law enforcement officer during a road rage incident.
The incident was reported at about 5:15 p.m. on Friday, August 11. It occurred near the intersection of 21st Avenue N.E. and 24th Street N.E. in Hickory, not far from Springs Road. The victim described the suspect vehicle as a newer model black or dark blue sedan. The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-30s with short, dark hair. He was wearing glasses.
The victim is a 72-year-old male who lives several blocks from the scene of the incident in N.E. Hickory. No injuries were reported. No one has been charged in connection to this case as of this afternoon (August 16). The investigation is ongoing.
