Hickory Man Jailed In Alexander County

Joshua Brian Dawson, age 40, of Hickory, is being held in Alexander County custody. He was apprehended on Wednesday and charged with felony probation violations.

Dawson was given an 18 month suspended sentence in Alexander County on October 28th, 2024. The conviction was for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer. He was also released from prison in 2023 after serving 14 months for felony larceny of a motor vehicle

Dawon remains in custody with bond listed at $15,000.
